About BeachGo

A calmer way to choose a UK beach.

BeachGo combines a public, crawlable beach directory with a mobile app for richer day-of planning. The current implementation is iPhone-first, and Android support is planned.

Why the website and app are different

The website answers stable local-search questions: where beaches are, what facilities are recorded, whether parking is listed, and which official classifications or source notes are available. It does not recreate the app.

The app adds map exploration, current weather and tide planning, origin-based traffic, signed-in saved beaches and verified community contributions.

How we handle beach data

The initial website content snapshot is copied from BeachGo's enriched repository dataset. It combines coastal records and named public sources, but it is not independently verified by this website. Missing information is omitted or marked unavailable.

Corrections are welcome through the verified contribution flow in the app or via the contact page.

Rewards and leaderboards are in progress

BeachGo plans to introduce rewards and leaderboards that recognise useful community participation and give regular contributors new ways to take part. These features are not live yet; points, eligibility, benefits and any redemption model will be confirmed before launch. Follow the public roadmap for progress.
