Community Guidelines
BeachGo contributions should help someone make a better, safer and more considerate decision about the coast.
Be accurate
- Report what you can personally observe.
- Use busyness labels honestly and at the correct beach.
- Explain corrections clearly and include useful context.
- Do not present guesses as facts.
Be current
Conditions change quickly. Submit time-sensitive reports promptly and do not repeat an old report as if it is current.
Be respectful
- Do not identify, harass or defame individuals.
- Do not post personal information.
- Do not use reports to promote a business or settle a dispute.
Safety comes first
BeachGo is not an emergency service. Call 999 or 112 in an emergency and ask for the Coastguard where appropriate. Do not put yourself at risk to submit or verify a report.
Moderation
Corrections are reviewed before they alter shared facts. BeachGo may remove misleading, abusive, promotional or unlawful submissions and may restrict accounts that repeatedly misuse the contribution tools.
Rewards
There is currently no points or redemption system. Contribute because the information helps other visitors, not in expectation of a reward.
